  1. A non-Korean national whose parents are BOTH non-Korean nationals
  2. Applicant who has completed, or is expected to complete all regular educational courses equivalent to Korean elementary, middle, and high school.

Student Visas

Students enrolled in degree programs at Korean universities may be eligible for a D-2 student visa. Visa eligibility and requirements are determined solely by Korean immigration and the university.

Korean Language Course

Yonsei University’s Korean Language Institute, founded in 1959, has stood as a pioneer in Korean language education, welcoming hundreds of thousands of learners from more than 150 countries to this educational hub. Campuses & Location

Sinchon

The Seoul Campus, located in Sinchon, has established itself in one of Seoul’s most vibrant university districts, shared with several major institutions. The area is known for its youthful atmosphere, cultural venues, shopping streets, and wide range of dining options, offering a dynamic student lifestyle alongside a strong academic environment.

Sinchon Station (Line 2) and nearby transit options provide convenient access to central and western Seoul, making the area highly convenient and well connected.

Songdo

Yonsei’s International Campus is situated in Songdo International Business District, a modern and globally oriented district developed for education, research, and international business. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities, eco-friendly design, and a structured residential college system, creating a focused and community-oriented learning environment.

Campus Town Station (Incheon Subway Line 1), provides access to the Seoul metropolitan area via transfer lines. Express and local bus services, including routes connecting directly to Sinchon, further support convenient travel between Songdo and central Seoul.

Wonju

The Mirae Campus is located in Wonju, Gangwon Province, and is surrounded by natural scenery and a quieter urban setting. The campus emphasizes interdisciplinary education, health sciences, and future-oriented studies, providing a calm and supportive environment for academic life.

Wonju is accessible from Seoul via KTX and ITX trains, as well as express and intercity buses. Wonju Station and the city’s bus network offer convenient connections between the campus and major transport hubs.

Yonsei University has a single application round, which takes approximately three months to finalize.

Tuition is paid on a per-semester basis.

Yes. Yonsei University requires all freshmen, except for certain majors due to facilities (e.g. music, physical education), to apply to the Songdo Dormitories for their first year, under the Residential College (RC) program. Please contact us for more information!
