Students enrolled in degree programs at Korean universities may be eligible for a D-2 student visa. Visa eligibility and requirements are determined solely by Korean immigration and the university.

Heukseok

The Heukseok area, where Chung-Ang University’s Seoul Campus is located, is a quiet residential neighborhood along the Han River, offering a calm environment well suited to focused student life. Heukseok Station (Line 9), within walking distance of campus, provides fast access to Gangnam, Yeouido, and other key areas of Seoul.

Anseong

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply with a GED, homeschooling, or alternative schooling?

Applicants with a GED, homeschooling, or alternative degrees are not eligible for admission. Please contact us for further details.

Are there degree programs taught entirely in English? If so, are there any language proficiency requirements?

Yes. Applicants are required to submit proof of language proficiency.
Applicants from English-speaking countries, and non-English-speaking countries who completed their education in an English-speaking are exempt from this requirement.

The minimum accepted scores are as follows:
• IELTS 5.5
• TOEFL iBT 60

Can international students apply for the Korean-track program? If so, what are the language proficiency requirements?

Yes. Applicants must have a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) or IBT TOPIK Level 4 or higher.

Applicants for the following departments must have TOPIK or IBT TOPIK Level 3 or higher.

How long is the application process?

Chung Ang University has two application rounds, both of which take two months to finalize.

How is tuition paid?

Tuition is paid on a per-semester basis.

Do I need to submit original documents to the university?

Unless otherwise stated as “copy,” all documents must be original. If a document cannot be reissued or the original is unavailable, a notarized copy may be accepted.
Please note that if any submitted materials contain false information, admission will be revoked immediately, and readmission will not be permitted.

Can I apply for the school dormitory?

Yes. Dormitory applications are accepted either on a per-semester basis (16 weeks). Fees start from KRW 1,366,400 for a double room, and KRW 952,000 for a quad room.

Interviews are required only for applicants to the Medicine major. Applicants to other majors may be asked to participate in an interview depending on their qualifications and the department’s evaluation process.
