Admission Eligibility

  1. A non-Korean national whose parents are BOTH non-Korean nationals
  2. A student who has completed, or is expected to complete primary and secondary education at the time of application (Vocational schools are included).
  3. A non-Korean national who satisfies the language proficiency requirements.

Student Visas

Students enrolled in degree programs at Korean universities may be eligible for a D-2 student visa. Visa eligibility and requirements are determined solely by Korean immigration and the university.

Hongdae

‘Hongdae’ refers to the area surrounding Hongik University, and is one of Seoul’s most popular hotspots, where art, culture, fashion, food, and music come together. Each street is filled with a free-spirited and creative atmosphere, attracting both locals and international visitors with its unique small shops, cafes, galleries, street performances, and vibrant club scene.

The nearby Hongik Univ. Station, where Subway Line 2, the Gyeongui–Jungang Line, and the Airport Railroad converge, serves as a major transportation hub, offering easy access from anywhere in Seoul.

Sejong

The Sejong Campus is located in Sejong City, a planned administrative and education hub. • Hongik International Language Institute Scholarship: Awarded to applicants who attended International Language Institute at Hongik University for more than two semesters and achieved level 4 or higher.
