    1. A non-Korean national whose parents are BOTH non-Korean nationals.
    2. A student who has completed, or is expected to complete primary and secondary education at the time of application.
    3. A non-Korean national who satisfies the language proficiency requirements.

    Student Visas

    Students enrolled in degree programs at Korean universities may be eligible for a D-2 student visa. Visa eligibility and requirements are determined solely by Korean immigration and the university.

    Yes. Applicants are required to submit proof of language proficiency.
    Applicants who have completed the entire curriculum of secondary education in English as the primary language of instruction must submit an official academic transcript and a letter of confirmation about English being the medium of instruction issued by the school.

    The minimum accepted scores are as follows:
    • IELTS Academic 7.0
    • TOEFL iBT 100 (5 in the new TOEFL scale)

    Yes. Applicants must have a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) or IBT TOPIK Level 5 or higher. Applicants with scores below this level will be required to complete additional Korean language training and may have limitations on course selection.     Korea University has a single application round, which takes approximately two months to finalize.

    Tuition is paid on a per-semester basis.

    Unless otherwise stated as “copy,” all documents must be original. If a document cannot be reissued or the original is unavailable, a notarized copy may be accepted.
