A non-Korean national whose parents are BOTH non-Korean nationals.
A student who has completed, or is expected to complete primary and secondary education at the time of application.
A non-Korean national who satisfies the language proficiency requirements.

Student Visas

Students enrolled in degree programs at Korean universities may be eligible for a D-2 student visa. Visa eligibility and requirements are determined solely by Korean immigration and the university.

Hyehwa

SKKU’s Seoul Campus (Humanities and Social Sciences) is located in the Hyehwa and Daehangno area, a historic academic district known for its concentration of universities, theaters, bookstores, and cultural venues. The neighborhood offers a lively yet intellectual atmosphere, with numerous cafés and small performance spaces that contribute to an active student culture while remaining walkable and safe.

Hyehwa Station, served by Line 4, is within walking distance of the campus, providing convenient access to major areas of Seoul, including Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, and Seoul Station. Can I apply with a GED, homeschooling, or alternative schooling?

Applicants with a GED, homeschooling, or alternative degrees are not eligible for admission. Please contact us for further details.

Are there degree programs taught entirely in English? If so, are there any language proficiency requirements?

Yes. Applicants are required to submit proof of language proficiency.
Applicants from English-speaking countries, and non-English-speaking countries who completed their education in an English-speaking are exempt from this requirement.

The minimum accepted scores are as follows:
• IELTS: 6.5
• TOEFL iBT: 80

Can international students apply for the Korean-track program? If so, what are the language proficiency requirements?

Yes. Applicants must have a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) or IBT TOPIK Level 3 or higher.

How long is the application process?

SKKU has two admission rounds, and each round takes approximately two months to finalize.

How is tuition paid?

Tuition is paid on a per-semester basis.

Do I need to submit original documents to the university?

Unless otherwise stated as “copy,” all documents must be original. If a document cannot be reissued or the original is unavailable, a notarized copy may be accepted.
Please note that if any submitted materials contain false information, admission will be revoked immediately, and readmission will not be permitted.

Can I apply for the school dormitory?

Yes. Dormitory applications are accepted on a per-semester basis (approximately six months).
